The Seychelles have always been friendly and welcoming Islands. They are a chain of the most beautiful islands in the world on the East African Coast in the middle of the WestIndian ocean. Seychelles does not suffer from cyclones, typhoons or tidal waves, It has an abundance of natural foods, fertile soil and a plentiful supply of water and seychelles also is well known for its bizarre looking coconut called the coco de mer.

It was over two and half centuries when the Seychelles were discovered by the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama in the early 16 th century. Later, the islands became a French colony.

The maheseychelles Islands were first named, by the Portuguese, "the 7 sisters" in the 17 th century. The Seychelles were also often visited by Pirates, it's also possible that they hid treasures in the granite caves.

In 1742 Lazare Picault a French man led an expedition and landed at what now is called Baie Lazare named after the Captain Lazare Picault . The first French settlers and their African slaves arrived in 1770.
